The Ravages of Time 3rd Season

Synopsis

In 193 AD, Guo Jia presented the dark military strategy of "slaughtering one city to subdue ten," leading Cao Cao to attack Xuzhou under the pretext of "avenging his father." Historical records state that "hundreds of thousands of men and women were killed." Liaoyuan Huo, posing as Zhao Yun, aided the people of Xuzhou in their desperate defense, outwitting and outmaneuvering Cao Cao's army, while secretly recruiting Liu Bei to join the fight against Cao Cao. Lu Bu, lying in wait in Chenliu, launched a surprise attack on Cao Cao's rear, following the advice of his strategist Chen Gong. Zhuge Liang and Sima Yi also arrived in Xuzhou, stirring up the war. The Battle of Xuzhou saw Lu Bu, Xu Chu, Dian Wei, Zhao Yun, and other powerful figures engage in a fierce battle that shook the world. After this battle, the tables have turned in Xuzhou. Cao Cao then turns his attention to his powerful northern enemy, and a top-level strategic game that would determine the fate of the world begins. (Source: Bilibili, translated)
